ANPD, MPF, and Senacon order X to immediately implement measures to address Grok’s failures

The ANPD, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), and the National Consumer Protection Secretariat (Senacon) reviewed X’s responses following a Joint Recommendation concerning the use of the Grok artificial intelligence tool in connection with the generation and circulation of inappropriate sexualized content.

Following the review, each institution adopted measures within the scope of its respective authority: (i) the ANPD issued a preventive order requiring X to enhance and immediately implement technical and organizational measures to prevent the generation of sexualized content involving children and adolescents or identifiable adults without authorization; (ii) the MPF ordered the submission of monthly reports detailing the steps taken to prevent and suppress the production of deepfakes involving children and adolescents, as well as adults without their prior authorization; and (iii) Senacon issued an administrative injunction with similar requirements, also demanding a detailed metrics report with verifiable quantitative data.

In the event of non-compliance, the institutions indicated that more severe measures may be adopted, including daily fines, the initiation of administrative sanctioning proceedings, and, in the case of the MPF, potential criminal liability for disobedience and possible judicial action.
