On August 5, the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) took part in the 7th edition of the Brazilian Congress on Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and AI Governance, hosted by Fiesp. The event brought together authorities, experts, business leaders, and decision-makers to discuss risks, opportunities, and challenges related to cybersecurity, data protection, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
During the launch ceremony of the Governance Guide for the Use of Generative AI, ANPD President Waldemar Gonçalves emphasized the importance of a balanced regulatory approach—one that fosters technological innovation while safeguarding personal data and fundamental rights.
